About Us

Integral University, a seat of educational excellence, is a premier university in Lucknow, the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established under Act Number 9 of 2004 by the State Government. University is duly approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Bar Council of India, Council of Architecture, Indian Association of Physiotherapists, National Council for Teacher Education, UP State Medical Faculty and Distance Education Bureau. Integral University is accredited by NAAC and recognized as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

The Department of Bioengineering under the Faculty of Engineering is committed to apply engineering principles to biological sciences in order to develop systems and processes that will prove to be beneficial for the society. Keeping in mind the industrial growth and the importance of bioengineering, the department has given priority to the teaching and research in the fields of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Food Technology, Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering. The Department offers undergraduate and post graduate courses in engineering viz. B.Tech in Biotechnology, Food Technology, and Biomedical Engineering, M.Tech in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Bioinformatics, Biochemical, and Biomedical Engineering and Ph.D. in all above areas.

The Department of Food Products Technologies under the Faculty of Technology conducts its education and research activities in the field of food technology dealing with of fat and oil products; grain and cereal products; bread, pasta and confectionery products; the technology of fats, essential oils, perfumery and cosmetics; food production and processing technology (cereal products); food production and processing technology (fat and oil products).

The Tashkent Chemical – Technological Institute is a public institution of higher education providing education in all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD, DSc, short courses for teachers and industry employers). Currently, the Tashkent Chemical – Technological Institute is a modern institute with almost 100-year history specializing in education and research activities in Chemistry, Chemical and Mechanical Engineering, Authomation and control of processes, Material sciences, Food chemistry, Food technology and Food safety, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering.

With the growing world population, enough effort and innovation is required to sustainably increase agricultural production, food processing, improve the global food supply chain, decrease food losses and waste, and ensure that all have access to nutritious food. During recent years, newer challenges such as globalization of trade in food, urbanization, changes in life style, international travel, environmental pollution, deliberate adulteration, natural and man-made disasters have arisen which need to be ensure food safety and quality. Both education and training are needed for this purpose. The conference with the theme “Serving Present to secure the Future” will discuss challenges for achieving the better prospects in food processing while serving the present generation for achieving a better future for sustainable development. Apart from harping upon the challenges and opportunities in food processing, the latest technological developments in food industry, in terms of quality control, packaging, value addition will be discussed in length
